Info on your energy support in Kivra

How much will you receive?

If you are retired

The energy support will be paid directly to the Pensions Authority registered account if you receive a pension. You don't need to register your account with Swedbank.

If you live abroad

If you live abroad, Försäkringskassan may need to request your account details by physical mail in exceptional cases.

Who will receive energy support?

Whether or not you as a private individual receive energy support depends on a number of factors and also differs between the two support packages. It may seem a bit complicated, so let’s sort it out:

You need to have been on the electricity network agreement starting December 31, 2022. This support includes the period between November 2, and December 31, 2022.

How to get your money

Want to receive your energy support as quickly as possible? Register your bank account in Swedbank's account register here. If you don’t register an account, you’ll still get your money, but it will take longer. This also applies if you are already a Swedbank customer. You don’t need to be or become a customer of Swedbank to register your account.

How the payout works

The energy support will be divided into two parts. Those who receive support will find out the exact amount in Kivra. Here’s how it’s calculated:

Part two – starting June 9

The second part of the support will include the entire country. Bidding areas 1 and 2 will receive 90 ören per kWh consumed. If you live in bidding area 3, you’ll get 126 ören per kWh, and those who live in electricity area 4 will get 129 ören per kWh. All bidding areas receive compensation for 80 percent of measured electricity consumption.

Which bidding area do you belong to?

Sweden is divided into four so-called bidding areas. The energy support looks different depending on where you live – some people get their money as early as February 23, while others have to wait. What applies to you? Check our map or take a look at Svenska kraftnät's own page.

What happens if you don’t have a bank account?

If you don’t register an account with Swedbank, they’ll check whether you have an account registered with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency or the Swedish Pensions Agency. If you do, the energy support will be paid there. If not, you will instead receive a physical check by mail.
